Have you ever thought about reviewing the Symbian? It’s supposed to be the ultimate orgasmic machine…

    Best regards, Dave

Dave: I’ve always wanted to review the Sybian, but it’s out of my price range. Unless the company sends one, or until I become rich, I won’t be able to review it.

Dear Dildographer, I am so pleased that I came upon this post! I am an artist and crafter and I have been amassing in my spare time a history of sex toys, most specifically of dildos. Having spent much of my formal art education researching example of sexuality in craft history I have been keenly searching out the differences, or rather overlaps, between religious iconography and functional sex toys. I recently attended an international conference on feminist pornography and during a lecture given by a porn historian she confirmed what I have been finding: there is simply very little comprehensive research on the ancient history of sex toys to be found in any one place. I would be so deeply interested in reading your dissertation!

If there is any chance you are planning on publishing it I would love to know, or I would just very dearly love to be in contact with other scholars on this subject.

Anna: I’d be happy to share my work with you. I am planning on publishing it soon. It’s true that there’s very little history of sex toys out there. I’m hoping to open up the field.

I’d also be interested in what similarities you’ve found between religious iconography and functional sex toys. You’re probably already familiar with the company Divine Interventions that makes sex toys inspired by religious figures, but if not, here’s the link:

Do you have a website with your artwork?

Hi, maybe you can help me? A few years ago I found a site that sold dildos that were really futuristic looking. They were grey and had bits of neon yellow in them as well, I’ve been searching all over the Web for that site again, but can’t find anything? I’m pretty sure they were a European company? Sorry for the vague question.
